Jackie Royce Chunn

September 24, 1964 — March 3, 2020

Jacqueline “Jackie” Royce Pattison Chunn passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. Jackie was born to Jack Millard and Dorothy Frances Pattison in Midland, Texas in 1964. The baby of the family, her mother often commented that ‘Jackie was a surprise but has been a blessing ever since’. Known by her family and close friends as fun-loving, Jackie enjoyed life and her extensive family. She was eight years old when her first nephew, Gene, was born and he was her first friend who was a boy. She played clarinet in band, loved dogs and loved baseball. She graduated with a degree in business from Angelo State University and held management positions in various retail and restaurant venues for several years. Jackie also worked for H&R Block and subsequently for the US Postal Service. She was an avid collector, initially with stuffed bears and later with Fiesta dinnerware. She loved antiques and given her Native American heritage, also collected Indian artwork and jewelry. Jackie met Jeff Chunn in 1992 through a mutual friend. They became great friends and it became a hobby of theirs to shop year-round for antiques and unique gift items for family and friends. Jeff and Jackie also enjoyed baseball and traveled to several major league ballgames including Pittsburgh Pirates, Milwaukee Brewers, St. Louis Cardinals and of course, the Texas Rangers. Halloween was her favorite holiday and so she and Jeff chose that as their wedding day in 2016. Jackie attended Southgate Church of Christ, worked with the college class and World Bible School. She also supported San Angelo Christian Academy (SACA). Jackie is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Alan Chunn, sisters Lynne Lockett and husband Luster of Kerrville, TX, Shelley Anders and husband Mark of Chehalis, Washington, Cyntha Pattison of Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin, an almost sister, Nancy Berkas, nephews Gene Smith, Greg Smith and John Mark Anders, nieces Lindsey Anders and Katie Seppolo, many cousins and six great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to SACA c/o Southgate Church of Christ, 528 Country Club Rd, San Angelo, TX 76904 or directly to SACA at 518 Country Club Rd, San Angelo, TX, 76904.
