Jesse Lynn Marsh

Jesse Lynn Marsh, age 80, peacefully passed away on December 22, 2023, in San Angelo, TX, surrounded by the love of family and friends. Born on February 1, 1943, in his hometown of San Angelo to parents Willie and Dorothy Marsh.

Jesse's high school days were spent at Central High School, culminating in his graduation in 1961. Eager for further education, he pursued a master's degree in kinesiology at Texas Tech. During his time there, he proudly earned the title of national All-American swimmer and diver, showcasing his dedication and talent in the pool.

After completing his studies, Jesse brought his enthusiasm for sports and education to Midland High School, where he served as a teacher and swim diving coach, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of many. Later, he took on the role of PE Chairman at Lee High School in Midland, contributing to the well-being and development of students until his retirement.

Jesse found joy in various activities such as hunting, fishing, camping, and exploring new places. His love for swimming and diving was a constant thread throughout his life.

He is survived by his son, Mike Marsh, and wife Kathy; grandchildren, Junior Milan Marsh and Andre Martin Del Campo; his sister, Artie Marsh; brothers, Gene Marsh with wife Shirley, and Don Marsh.

Jesse was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kaye Marsh, and his parents, Willie and Dorothy Marsh.

A memorial service to celebrate Jesse's life will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 2:00pm at Glen Meadows Baptist Church.
