Paul Leo Laplante

Paul L. LaPlante, 91, of San Angelo, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, January 22, 2016. Paul was born March 21, 1924, to Edward and Beulah LaPlante in White Horse, South Dakota, on the Lakota Indian Reservation. After working many years at Smith Construction in Michigan, he retired and moved to San Angelo, Texas. Paul married Jean F. Mead on May 4, 1991, and spent 24 wonderful years together. He loved spending time with family and friends, and telling others about Jesus. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Jean LaPlante; stepdaughters Marlene Julien, Wanda Kay Pittman, and Nancy (Steve) Grafa; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren, his Aunt Lucille Van Dusen; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held for family and friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, at Harper Funeral Home, 2606 Southland Blvd., San Angelo. Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 28, in the Harper Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Julien officiating.
