Albert Banda Flores, 70, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, in San Angelo after a 13 year battle with multiple myeloma cancer.

Albert was born on August 4th, 1955, in San Angelo, Texas, to Pablo and Tomasa Flores. A lifelong resident of San Angelo, he attended Central High School and spent his life serving both his community and his country.

On August 9, 1980, he married Ruth Calderon Flores, and together they shared many years of love and devotion. Albert was employed by the City of San Angelo Parks and Recreation Department and later worked as an Emergency Aide at Shannon Hospital. He also worked in the laundry department of the San Angelo State Supported Living Center. In addition, he proudly served his country for 22 years in the Army National Guard, attaining the rank of Sergeant.

Albert enjoyed fishing, dancing, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. Above all, he cherished his family. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him immense joy, and he shared a special bond with each of them.

A man of strong faith, Albert attended St. Paul before becoming a member of St. Mark Church, where he faithfully served on the Session and remained active in the life of the church.

Albert is survived by his siblings, Angelita “Mickey” Gamez; Yolanda Rodriguez and husband Frederick; Susan Reddy and husband Sam; Luis Flores; and Chris Flores and wife Norma, all of San Angelo.

He is further survived by his children, Natalie Bridges and husband Riggin of San Angelo; Greg Flores and wife Angela from Midland; grandchildren Aidan; Iian; Avery Flores of Midland, Immanuel “Max” Montoya, Jackie Flores of San Angelo; three great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He is also survived by his bonus daughter, Ladre D. Pickney of San Angelo.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Pablo and Tomasa Flores; his beloved wife of 37 years, Ruth Calderon Flores; his brother, Pablo B. Flores, Jr.; nephew, M’Ling Carlos Encarnacion Noriega; and brother-in-law, Carlos Gamez.

The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff of Shannon Cancer Center, Dr. Cheruku and his nurses, and Hospice of San Angelo for the compassionate care and support provided to Albert and his family. Also to thank you to the staff at Harper Funeral Home for their assistance at this difficult time.

A celebration of Albert's life will be held on June 24, 2026, at St. Mark Church with Mr. Meyers officiating at 4:00pm.

Albert will be remembered for his love of family, faithful service to his church, dedication to his community, and the kindness and friendship he shared with all who knew him.
