Albert Gerald (Bubba) Gentry

Albert Gerald (Bubba) Gentry, 81 of Miles passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018 at a local hospital, surrounded by his family. Visitation will be 5 PM to 7 PM Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the funeral home. Services entrusted to Harper Funeral Home. Bubba was born August 16, 1937 to Laura Mae Brookshire and Albert Gentry in Oak Creek, Texas. He married Josephine Schwertner on March 2, 1962 in San Angelo. Bubba was a lifelong electrician. His electric journey spanned from lineman to forming Gentry Electric that he and his wife ran for decades until their retirement. Bubba enjoyed his gambling trips to Hobbs and Ruidoso, and nature, from hunting and fishing to afternoon trips to the farm to watch the deer. He enjoyed reminiscing and telling stories of his earlier years. Bubba enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and of course his dog Sam. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Josephine in 2015, and a sister. Bubba is survived by: sons Larry Gentry, Gary Gentry, and Carl Gentry; daughter Laura Campbell; grandchildren Todd Gentry, Tracie Kotzen, Jason Gentry, Randy Gentry, Gene Wachsman, Michelle Schaffer, Dianna Juarez, Jeffery Haines, Jake Gentry, Caleb Gentry; 17 great-grandchildren 1 great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family, and last but not least, his beloved dog Sam.
