Arabela Reyes Castro was called to her eternal home on Friday, January 25, 2019 at the age of 90. She was the second child born to Salvador Reyes and Concepcion Vasquez on July 15, 1928 in San Jose de Aura, Coahuila, Mexico. On January 6, 1951 she married Soilo Castro in Morelos Coahuila, Mexico, a year later they moved to the United Stated, and lived in Beaumont Texas. In 1959 they moved to West Texas, in 1963 they moved to San Angelo and made it their home. She was a homemaker and a loving, devoted mother and grandmother. She was a humble person of little means but her family always came first. Despite life's tribulations she always gave the best of herself and would do without to ensure that her family's wants or needs were met. She may not have had much but she was rich in her families love. "Ama" as she was known to her children and grandchildren will be remembered for her sweet smile, her loving and giving nature; her scrumptious "Hojarascas" and mouth watering "Bunuelos". "Ama" will remain forever in the hearts of her children and grandchildren. "Ama" was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Soilo Castro of 40 years, her infant daughter Guadalupe Castro, her son Jesus Castro, her daughter in law Minerva Castro and brother Roberto Reyes. "Ama" is survived by her daughter Maria Antonia (Tony) Meza and husband Vicente, son Rogelio (Roy) Castro, daughter Raquel (Rachel) Hernandez and husband Joe. She is also survived by her grandchildren Corina Lopez and husband Rene, Vince Meza and wife Veronica, Andrea Bain and husband Steve, Roy Castro and Samantha Castro, Luis Hernandez and wife Anahi, Rubi Hernandez, Dakota Hernandez and Reina Perez.
