Audress E. Kovacs, age 56, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away on September 1, 2025. She was born on January 4, 1969, and throughout her life she was known as a fun, loving person and a great mother, a generous soul, and a faithful friend.
Audress began her career at just 16 years old as a salesclerk with JCPenney. Her strong work ethic and natural gift for caring for others led her into healthcare Business Manager. She served as an administrator at Beverly Manor Nursing Home in Augusta, GA, before moving to San Angelo, where she dedicated herself to helping families through the difficult process of closing nursing homes. She loved her work and always found joy in helping people.
Her giving spirit extended beyond her life, as she chose to donate her body to help others in need to the Willed Body Program at Texas Tech University Health Sciences.
Audress is survived by her son, Steven Robert Kovacs; mother, Anita Grigson Brown; her siblings, Lisa Stephanie Brown and Philip Dane Brown (Carla); her niece, Kaitlynn Brown; and her uncles, Wayman Grigson, Daniel Grigson, and Dana (Kathy) Grigson.
She was preceded in death by her Daniel Scott Brown; her grandparents, Robert (Betty) Brown and Dr. A.C. and Imogene Grigson; and her uncles, Paul Brown (Ginger), Mark Brown (Carole), and A.C. Grigson Jr (Janet).
Audress treasured her friends who enriched her life with love and support, including Dusty Roach, Bob and Bunny Ruddick, Steven Vinson, Charles Powell, Agatha Cato, Jill McReary Samoff, and Rose Marie Adkins Prosser.
Her memory will live on through her family, friends, and the many lives she touched with her kindness, laughter, and generosity. Her faith in Christ helped guide her throughout her life and she cherished that more than words can described.
