Our beloved wife and sweet mother, Barbara Ann Cole, went home to be with Jesus on December 18, 2018, at the age of 85. She was born on May 23, 1933, to Loren and Leah Wattenbarger in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and lived there most of her life until she moved to San Angelo in 2014. Barbara enjoyed being the youngest girl with two older brothers who doted on her. While in school at Colorado College, Barbara met and fell in love with Clinton Madison Cole. They got married in Shove Chapel on the campus of Colorado College on December 20, 1953 and were married nearly 65 years. Barbara stayed at home and raised her family while Clint went to law school and built his own law practice. Barbara dedicated her life to her home and family. She enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, sewing, and shopping for bargains. She loved special times of the year and always made holidays and family celebrations fun. She was active in church, teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and attending Bible study classes. She was a kind, sweet person with a fabulous sense of humor. Barbara is survived by her husband, Clint Cole, and three daughters, Linda Lee and her husband James, of Ft. Worth, Jeannie Schulz and her husband Carl of San Angelo, and Camille Carpenter and her husband Bill of Fairbanks, Alaska. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Clint Coles and wife Whitney, Ann Marie Jaeger and husband John, Christi Steckbeck and husband Hunter, Amanda Parks and husband Ryan, Michael Carpenter, Angela Lee, and Joshua Lee. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Corder and Gene Wattenbarger. Services will be held on Saturday, December 22 at 5:00 p.m. at Glen Meadows Baptist Church with Mack Roller officiating. Barbara will be buried in her home town of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Thank you to all of the amazing doctors and nursing staff on the sixth floor of Shannon Medical Center who took such good care of our wonderful wife and mother. "Do not be fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas.
