Bobby Dale Clifton

Bobby Dale Clifton of the Rio Concho Manor of San Angelo, Texas went to be with the Lord on Friday August 1, 2025. Bobby lived a full and active life living to the age of 90. He was born in San Angelo on October 23, 1934, to Barney G. Clifton and Eva L. Clifton. After living in San Angelo for several years the family moved to Hedley, Texas. From there the family moved to Phillips, Texas where Bobby grew up. He went into the Army and served during the Korean War era in Germany. After returning from service, he became a truck driver, which he was trained to do in the military. Bobby drove trucks for the rest of his working years. He is proceeded in death by his father, mother, two brothers, a sister & his wife Carroll Clifton. He is survived by one brother John D. Clifton of San Angelo, three stepdaughters, Tanya Shelton of Borger, Texas, Tamara Buxton of Borger, Texas and Kathy Buxton-Timmons married to Everett Timmons also of Borger, Texas. Bobby enjoyed six grandchildren, Triston Timmons and wife Delicia, Michah Timmons and wife Melissa, Shilow Timmons and wife Fallon, Ethan Timmons and wife Laura, Mandy Turpin and husband Ray, & Brad Shelton and wife Bailey. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren with two more on the way.

Bobby is additionally survived by a long-term friend, Eddie Pruitt of San Angelo. Bobby and Eddie were team truck drivers who spent thirteen years driving trucks together and Eddie got to witness a lot of Bobby’s adventures.

Bobby was always a motorcycle rider preferring Harleys, with trips to Sturgis, South Dakota, Mexico City and points all in between. One of his goals was to do 80 mph on his Harley at 80 years of age which he accomplished. Three family members witnessed the event & were shocked when he passed them on the highway! Needless to say, Bobby led an active, full and eventful life.

Bobby’s Memorial Service will be held on August 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Rio Concho Manor activity room at 401 Rio Concho Dr. San Angelo, Texas.
