Burton Harrison Rosser, known as Burt to all that knew him, died peacefully at home at the age of 83 in San Angelo, Tx. He was born on March 25, 1942 in San Angelo to Leonard and Wyvaughan Rosser.
Burt graduated from Central High School, and started working in the auto motive industry after graduation. He was parts manager at Mustang Chevrolet, which became All American Chevrolet, for over 50 years. He has made many life long friends during his long career. Burt always enjoyed hunting, racing, and spending time with family. He was a huge Dale Earnhardt fan and collected anything with the number 3 on it. He was not a man of many words, but he had a great sense of humor, and is the best papa/grandpa a grandkid could ask for.
He is survived and cherished by his wife Kay, son Lynn Rosser and wife Sandra of San Angelo, daughters Renee’ Webb of San Angelo, Laura Stever and significant other Chris of Sanger, And Brandi Stevens of San Angelo. 9 grandchildren Hannah Bignall and husband Matt, Leah Rosser, Haley Wall, Brynlee Stevens, Gavin Corbett, Courtni Dunn and husband David, Erica Stovall and husband Denton, and Reagan Robinson and husband River. 4 great grand children Brooks Dunn, Weston Stovall, and Ryan and Nick Bignall. Brother in law Grover Halsell and wife Michelle, niece Kylee and Nevaeh, sister in law Barbara Hayter and nephew Leroy Jr. “Blue”. Many nieces and great nephews. Also, his Aussie Angel which is his pride and joy.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Aunt Bobbie, and Uncle Bob, and his Daughter Chere’ Corbett.
We would like to send a thank you to Concho Hearts Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion from all of the staff.
Visitation with family will be Monday from 5-7 PM at Harper’s Funeral home, and services will be Wednesday at 10 AM at Lawnhaven with very special friend and Pastor Brad Griffin officiating. Following the service refreshments will be served at First Church of the Nazarene on Beauregard.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to meals for the elderly or Concho valley paws.
