Catarino M. Carrillo, Sr.

Catarino Carrillo, loving husband of the late Esther Contreras Carrillo, 87 passed away on the morning of September 17, 2018, in San Angelo, Tx. Born March 22, 1931, in Durango, Mexico, he was the son of late Pedro Carrillo and Angela (Minjares) Carrillo. Catarino Carrillo was a very well respected man who was loving, caring, and had a great sense of humor. As a hardworking outdoorsman who loved ranching, hunting, and horse breaking, he was able to instill diligence and respect on to his children. During his life he made many lifelong friends. Catarino is survived by his 5 children: Manuel Carrillo and wife Julie; Luis Carrillo and wife Diana; Martha Carrillo; Catarino Carrillo Jr. and wife Sylvia; and Jamie Carrillo and wife Naomi; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 3 siblings: Maria Lomas of Abilene; Eugenia Ornelas and Jorge Carrillo of Houston; along with several nieces, nephews, and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and the following siblings: Gregorio Carrillo; Juvencio Carrillo; Alejandro Carrillo; Sylvianita Carrillo; Petra Alvarado; and Antonia Lugo. Rosary will be held at 6p.m., Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Harper Funeral Home, 2606 Southland Blvd, San Angelo, Tx 76904. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 324 N. Commerce St, Mertzon, Tx 76941. Catarino will be laid to rest in Mertzon Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Manuel Carrillo Jr.; Christopher Carrillo; Adrian Soto; Andrew Carrillo; Catarino Trey Carrillo, III; and Preston Jamie Carrillo.
