Charles Robert Hutchens

Charles Robert Hutchens, 82, entered eternal rest at his home in San Angelo Texas on Wednesday April the 13 ^th . He was born on May 7 ^th , 1939 in Fulton Kentucky to parents Robert Calvin Hutchens and Captola Weaks Hutchens.

A celebration of a “life well lived” memorial will be held on April 30 ^th , 2:30 pm, at Johnson Street Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife Connie Marshall Hutchens. Son David Timm and wife Jennifer. Granddaughter Tara Carver and husband Tony. Granddaughter Mindy Bean and Husband Tyler. Granddaughter Macy Smithson and Husband Cevan. Granddaughter Miranda Timm. Daughter Julianna Hodges and husband Brad. Son Scott Hutchens and wife Marie. Grandson Adam Hirschi and wife Esther. Grandson’s Dylan Hutchens and Ross Hutchens. Granddaughter Lauren Doss. Daughter Stephanie Hutchens. Granddaughter Jade Ashworth and husband Phylex. Granddaughter Kellianna Bradford. As well as 12 great grandkids.

Charles had a natural ability to lighten the mood in any room. Whether defusing an awkward situation or just encouraging those around him, his quick wit and one-liners were always right on time. He was always ready to encourage anyone and consistently showed humility and gratitude to all. Those who knew him would agree that it would be a challenge to remember him complain more than 3 or 4 times in his last 40 years. He will be greatly missed, and always remembered for his servant’s heart.
