Colin Charlton, 80, gained his wings on Tuesday, July 7, 2020. Colin was born at Stratford on Avon in Great Britain on July 15, 1939. He was in the British Royal Air Force and traveled the world. He first came to San Angelo on a vacation to visit relatives 31 years ago and met Marilyn. They married and he began a career in the car business. He worked for Jim Bass Ford and Lynn Alexander. He sold cars and organized dealer trades. He loved cars. He was an avid Formula One Racing fan. He was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer early this year and had several months of radiation treatments but the cancer returned. He especially loved to go to HEB and shop in an electric cart. Colin made friends with so many people. He loved to tell jokes and had a great sense of humor. He was a good cook and made exotic dishes. He never lost his English accent and made fun of the Texas drawl. A Funeral service will be held 10:00 am, Friday, July 10, 2020 at Harper Funeral Home with a burial to follow at Miles Cemetery.
