Daniel Lee Barrientez, Jr., 46 of San Angelo went to his heavenly home with the Lord on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, in Midland, TX. Daniel was born January 3, 1979, in Houston Texas to Tami Crocket and Daniel Barrientez, Sr. He grew up in San Antonio, but the family moved to Midland, TX in his teenage years and he graduated from Midland Lee High School in 1997. Daniel became a welder by trade and worked for Kinder – Morgan Company in Odessa, Texas. In June of 2007, Daniel met the love of his life Amber Harkness and together they shared over 18 beautiful years of life, love and happiness, their beautiful daughter Azia, who he lovingly referred to as “Pumpkin” and his stepson Brayden Patton. Daniel had many passions and took pride in everything he did, he loved watching the San Antonio Spurs and he loved being on the boat on the lake, camping, riding Velia his dirt bike, driving his Camaro and cars in general, welding and had a huge fascination with sharks. Daniel was a loving son, husband, father and friend and his legacy of love will live on in our hearts forever! He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Sam Crockett and his father, Daniel Barrientez, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Amber Harkness, of San Angelo; his parents, Tami and Mark Cooper, of Christoval, and John Kolster, of Killeen, TX; his grandmother, Barbara Crockett, of Pleasanton, TX; his daughter Azia Barrientez, of San Angelo; his step-son, Brayden Patton, of Odessa, TX; his brother, Michael Compian and his wife Tosha, of Leander, TX; his Sister, Jamie Smith, of Killeen, TX; his nieces and nephews, Michael P. Compian and Karyn Compian, of Leander, TX, and Seth Pylant, Nathan Pylant and Dylan Pylant, all of Killeen, TX. Daniel is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and close friends. A celebration of Life for Daniel will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Lake Nasworthy.
