Debbie Wall

Debbie Wall, of Mertzon, passed away July 12, 2019 at the age of 65 from complications of illness. She was born on June 20, 1954 in San Angelo to RD and Bertha Griffith. She grew up in San Angelo, where she attended Lakeview High School. After high school, she met Floyd W. Wall, Jr. and they married and settled in Mertzon. She worked for Irion County School as a teacher’s assistant. She also worked for John Sutton as a legal secretary for the last 20 years. Her hobbies included playing the piano, DIY projects and crafts, and gardening. The love of her life were her Labrador Retrievers and her Irion Co. Hornets. Debbie’s favorite time of year was Christmas, she loved to decorate her home, the tree, and the outside with bright lights. Debbie is preceded in death by her father, RD Griffith and husband Woody Wall. Survivors include her mother Bertha Griffith; daughter Shawna Wall and her husband Eric Hutchinson; grandchildren Alexa, Logan, and Micah Hutchinson; sister Wanda Blackburn; niece Shelley Flanary; and nephew Randy Bitner. A Graveside service will be held 9:30am, Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Mertzon Cemetery with Dr. Tommy King officiating.
