Deloyce Smith

DeLoyce Smith, 83, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 9, 2017 in San Angelo with her loving family at her side. DeLoyce was born August 2, 1933 in Belfalls, Texas to John and Hallie Belk. She married the love of her life James H. Smith on September 20, 1952 and they shared 56 beautiful years together. DeLoyce was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family as a homemaker. She also worked in the family business supporting her husband until retirement. In her spare time she enjoyed shopping and hunting and fishing and spending time at her home at Lake Amistad. DeLoyce was preceded in death by her parents and her husband James (Bud). She is survived by her children, Larry Smith and his wife Robi, of San Angelo, Debbie Freeman and her husband Richard, of San Angelo and Brenda Greer and her husband Delwin “Pudd,” of Eldorado, TX; her Grandchildren, Cliff and Lo Smith, Scott and Lisa Smith, Holly and Steve Thurman, Hunter and Jennifer Price, Hallie and Eric Sosolik, Buddy and Becka Greer and Dillon Greer and Ashley Quiroz; and 17 Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends for visitation from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M., Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Harper Funeral Home. The Graveside Service will be 1:00 P.M., Monday, February 13, 2017 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Mike Dorman officiating. The family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to Royal Estates, the Palliative Care unit at Shannon Medical Center, Dr. John Harvey and Interim Hospice for all of the loving care given to DeLoyce.
