Dennis Ray Gust

January 6, 1946 — April 25, 2022

On the morning of April 25, 2022, Dennis Ray Gust, of Veribest, was called to his heavenly home.

He was born on January 6, 1946, in Dallas, Texas to Betty and Ray Gust. He had two siblings and they grew up in Dallas, Texas.

Dennis attended Adamson High School where he was voted most handsome. He was very athletic and loved playing football and baseball.

Finishing high school, he then attended Tyler Junior College. After college, Dennis joined the army and was a part of the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions. He was assigned to a classified mission in Africa, and later trained cadets on the gun range at West Point. During this time, he became a Master Sargent.

Dennis loved working with his hands, especially remodeling, wall papering, tiling, etc. His talent was appreciated by his clients. He never boasted or complained. Never meeting a stranger, his magnetism, care, love, and friendship abounded. Dennis was loved by many special friends! In kindness, he was the master to animals and people alike.

Twenty-four years ago, Dennis married Kimberly Burden on May 23. They were definitely soul mates and life partners.
