Dr. Kenneth Gene Patrick passed away at 4:48 AM on Sunday, January 31, 2021. Kenneth was born on February 15, 1935, in Malakoff, Texas to John Elbert and Opal Patrick. He graduated from Baylor University and went into Seminary. Kenneth was a Southern Baptist preacher for 57 years, with 28 years spent at First Baptist Church in Big Springs, as well as pastoring a Church in Luton England for a short time. Kenneth served in San Angelo as a Chaplain at Baptist Retirement Village for eight years. Dr. Patrick served as vice president of Baptist General Convention as well as many other Committees with the Baptist Convention. In his free time Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling. Dr. Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Patrick, his siblings Paula Lee, Pat Killebrew, Kathy Melinda and Rudy Cordero; Five Children Daniel Baker Patrick and wife Lisette, Crystal Gay and husband Kevin McKeown, and April Ladawn and husband David Williams. Numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews. Kenneth was preceded in death by his Mother, Father, and infant Daughter Christy Eileen Patrick. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Fairmount Cemetery.
