Eddie was a devout Methodist, loved his church Sierra Vista UMC, and his Sunday School CC Class. Eddie loved to fish with his family and spent many hours on the lake waiting for the crappie to start biting. He enjoyed taking his grandson Will turkey hunting and could not wait for his son Matt to turn 16, so he did not have to deer hunt any longer.

Eddie met his soulmate Marsha Smith on a blind date in 1966, were married on April 2, 1970 and enjoyed 53 years together. They lived on the family farm for 10 years before moving to Batesville, AR to pursue other ventures. In 1984, they moved to San Angelo, TX where they raised their children Heidi Lynn and Matthew Daniel. Eddie managed Abell Transfer and Storage for 36 years until his retirement.

Eddie is survived by his wife Marsha, daughter Heidi Williams (Jacob), grandsons Will Carson, Grayson Housley, Joshua and Luke Williams, granddaughter Jody Carson, great-granddaughter Knoxley Carson, brother Tucker Housley of Jonesboro, AR, sisters Kay (Jerry) Hunter of St. Charles, MO and Deborah Angel (Bruce) of Jonesboro, AR, and sister-in-laws Mona Housley of San Angelo, TX, Shari Lewis of Cash, AR and Sandra Worlow of Paragould, AR and many nieces and nephews. Eddie was preceded in death by parents Harold and Nettie, sister Donna Fuqua, brother Bob Housley and his best friend and son Matt Housley.
