Edwin Henry Gripp

Edwin Henry Gripp, Jr, age 87 was called to rest with our heavenly father on Father’s Day, June 19, 2022. He was born in Victoria TX on April 9, 1935, the oldest son of 4 children. He was a devout Catholic, father, papa, husband, and brother. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1953 and went on to earn a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Texas in 1957. He worked his entire career in management at Texas New Mexico Pipeline. He was an avid hunter, golfer and loved all sports. He journeyed this life well and pressed on against all odds with curiosity, faith and love. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Gripp, His 5 children, Cheryl (Danny), Gordon (Julie), Laura (Tim), Russell (Sandy), and Leanne (Michael), and 3 stepchildren Sandra (Will), Gene (Bianca) and Debra (Greg) and their families. He has 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. His sister Mary and his brother Jimmy and sister-in-law Melva. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lily and Edwin, his brother, Rolla Don, his grandson Brian, his brother-in-law Roger and his nephews John and Scotty Gripp. His legacy of faith in God, love of family and curiosity will live on in the hearts and minds of all who had the honor of knowing him. The Rosary will be 9:30 A.M., Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Holy Angels Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev.
