Estevan Zarate

Estevan Zarate, 86, of San Angelo, passed away on May 24, 2025. He was born on September 7, 1938, in Eden, Texas to Lupe and Carmen Zarate.

Estevan was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Olivia R. Zarate; his daughter, Debbie Zarate; his parents; and his sisters, Marie Cruz and Naomi Torres.

He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Diane Zarate of San Angelo; his son, Eric Zarate and wife Jennifer of Waxahachie; and his cherished granddaughter, Abigail Zarate of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Estevan is also survived by his siblings, Estella Esamilla of Eden and Paul David Zarate of McKinney, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will fondly remember him.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Eden Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Eden Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Rudy Gevara, Ralph Gevara, Ruben Cruz, Jr., Michael Zarate, Paul Torres, Jr., and Andrew Torres.
