Gloria Irene Levesque joyfully entered into her Savior’s arms when she passed away peacefully in her home on February 20, 2026. She was born on September 5, 1945, in Austin, Texas to Adron and Louise Rowan. She was a devoted and beloved daughter, wife, mother, Granny and friend to many.
After living in several locations as a child, due to her father’s service in the military, Gloria spent most of her life in San Angelo, Texas, a place she dearly loved. Gloria attended Park Heights Baptist Church in her youth where she developed a lasting relationship with Jesus and a passion for sharing the Gospel with others.
Gloria met her beloved husband of 62 years, James, when she was 16 years old at the skating rink. They were married two years later and lived a beautiful life in San Angelo, where they raised three children and served their church community together.
Through the years, Gloria loved leading women’s bible studies, hosting small group meetings for college students, and ministering to ladies who would come to visit and get Mary Kay makeup from her. Some of Gloria’s favorite things included decorating her home for holidays, preparing and giving gifts to friends and family, such as her famous Christmas candy, and sending weekly scriptures to those she loved.
Gloria is survived by her husband of 62 years, James Levesque; two of her children and their spouses, David and Annette Levesque and Joy and Joe Covington and a daughter-in-law Becca Eldredge: grandchildren Sarah Thompson, Chris Levesque, Davis Levesque, Lucas Levesque, Meg Eubank, Seth Levesque, Nico Covington and Elliott Covington; and great-grandchildren Charlie Eubank and Presley Levesque
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adron and Louise Rowan and her son Michael Levesque.
For those mourning her, Gloria would remind us of Acts 20:24; “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me-the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.”
The Funeral Service will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Harper Funeral Home. The burial will follow at Belvedere Memorial Park.
