Harold E Young

Harold Elgin Young of San Angelo, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, at the age of 96.

Harold was born on December 20, 1929, in San Angelo, Texas, to Elgin and Lena Young. He attended San Angelo High School. In 1967, Harold married the love of his life and sweetheart, Monica Nogalas in Quito, Ecuador. Together, they shared 59 years of marriage, building a life filled with love, memories, and devotion to one another.

Harold built a long and dedicated career with GSI Geosoursing/ Texas Instruments where he worked in Seismographing for much of his professional life before retiring in 1993.

Harold is survived by his beloved wife, Monica Young; his brothers, Millard Young and spouse, Thea, of Lubbock, Texas, and Bruce Young and spouse, Karen, of Amarillo, Texas; and his sister, Joy Kemp, of Sonora, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elgin and Lena Young, brothers, James Young and Kenneth Young; and his sister, Nova Krezer.

Harold’s family is grateful for the love, kindness, and support shown to him throughout his life and during his final days.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 31, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Harper Funeral Home Chapel in San Angelo, Texas. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.
