Jackie Jean Oates

Jackie Jean Oates, 82, of Abilene, Texas, died on January 9, 2024.

She was born in Cisco, Texas on July 26, 1941, to Jack and Tommie Gean Hunt. She married James Oates on April 9, 1960. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved son, Monty.

Jackie is survived by her husband, James of 63 years, her children, Mark Oates (Jeanie) of Edmond, OK, Jamie Shannon (Patrick) of San Angelo, TX and grandchildren, Haley Jo Oates (Bryan), Rose, Jacqueline and Alexandra Oates, Addison and Emma Shannon, and great grandchildren, Bronson Cash, Tinley Belle and Stratton Holt Tolliver. Survivors also include siblings; Billy Hunt (Beverly), Patsy Newman, Darlene Luttrell (Keith), Freddy Hunt (Linda), Teri Jenschke (Steve), Carla Brown (Scott), and their families.

Graveside services are under the direction of Harper Funeral Home and will be held on January 12th at 2:00 p.m. in Oakwood Cemetery, 308 Front Street, Cisco, Texas.
