Jacob Michael Martinez

Jacob Michael Martinez, 33, of San Angelo, TX passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018, from injuries sustained in a hit and run accident. He was born June 16, 1985 in Fort Ord, California. He grew up in San Angelo, TX where he spent most of his life, he spent some time in South Texas and worked primarily as a painter. He had recently moved back to San Angelo, TX. Jacob’s greatest attribute was his love for his mother and family. He had a gentle soul and was driven by a caring heart. Jacob is survived by parents Patricia and Step-Father Ruben Hernandez of San Angelo, TX and Favian Paul and Jeannie Martinez of San Antonio, TX. He also leaves behind a loving Step-Father Tony Lomas and Mary Vasquez along with Maternal Grandparents Jose S. and Leticia Del Rio; siblings Stephanie and husband Matthew Dela Rosa, TJ Lomas and Ashley Gutierrez, Priscilla Lomas and Paul Zuniga, Kristopher Lomas and Nancy Pineda all of San Angelo, TX. Ashley Martinez and Joseph Casarez of San Marcos, TX. Paul Martinez Jr and Heaven Romero of San Antonio, TX. Jacob leaves behind two children, Aaron Michael Martinez of Amarillo, TX and Ariana Jay Martinez of San Angelo, TX. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Jacob was preceded in death by cousin Logan Alejandro Garcia, Great Grandmother Porfiria G. Daniel and Grandparents Salvador and Esther Martinez. Pallbearers will be TJ Lomas, Kristopher Lomas, Paul Martinez Jr, Jay Del Rio, Richard Rodriguez, Albert Garcia, George Lomas, Joe Ortega and Honorary Pallbearer Aaron Martinez. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Harper Funeral Home, 2606 Southland Blvd, San Angelo, TX. Viewing will be Monday, November 26, 2018 from 8:00 A.M. – 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary starting at 7:00pm. The Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 301 W. 17th St., San Anglo, TX followed by burial at Lawnhaven Memorial Garden, 4989 FM Highway 1223, San Angelo, TX 76904.
