Jean E. Tjaden (Meme)

Jean E. Tjaden (Meme), 77, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at Community Hospital surrounded by her family. Jean (Meme) was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister to her family. She also enjoyed traveling, baking, and crafts. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, James and Saffo Jean Marshall, husband, Daryl W. Tjaden, brother, James E. Marshall. Survivors include her son, Larry Tjaden and wife Deecie of Sweetwater, daughter, Lorie Tjaden-Adams and husband LeRoy of San Angelo, grandchildren, Britni McGinty and husband Josh of Corpus Christi, Amanda Gonzales and husband Alex of San Antonio, Michael Gamez and fiancée Destinee of San Angelo, and Taylor Tjaden of Lubbock, great-grandchild, Maggie McGinty of Corpus Christi, sister, Sandra Vannoy and Husband Ken of Houston, and her dog Sophie. We would like to extend our gratitude to Comfort Keepers, Valdina, and Community Hospital staff and especially Dr. Kirkland for their care and compassion. A visitation will be held Friday, February 15, 2019, at Harper Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00pm. Graveside service will be 10:00am on Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your favorite charity.
