Jere Turner

Jere Turner, 97, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 1, 2020. Jere was born April 25, 1922 in Memphis, TN to Cavell Flourney Wilson and Leone Cason Paulk. The family moved to Texas when Jere was young. Jere graduated from Abilene High School in 1939 and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from McMurry College in Abilene 1943. Jere taught art in the Dallas Independent School District for several years. Jere enjoyed painting, decorating and was a talented artist. Jere married Leroy Daniels on March 22, 1968 at First Baptist Church Dallas. She and Leroy lived in Dallas until his death on November 30, 1974. Jere married Buford Turner on November 16,1979 in Rockwall, TX. She and Buford moved to Baptist Retirement Community in San Angelo, TX in 1997. Buford preceded her in death on October 18, 2007. Jere was a faithful member of First Baptist Church San Angelo until her health prohibited her attendance. She was a very loving and generous person. Jere will be missed by her many friends. A memorial service will held in Baptist Retirement Community Chapel (San Angelo, TX) Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 10:00 AM.
