Jerry Don Arthur

Jerry Don Arthur was a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He died peacefully in his home on October 23rd, 2022.

He was born on May 9th 1943 in San Angelo, TX. He met the love of his life, Bonnie Jean Bluemel, while attending Christoval High School, and they were married for 60 years. He was a born salesperson and sold animal health and agricultural products for Southwestern Stockman’s Supply, Medina, and RCCI Organic Ag Products. He was an avid hunter and was a member of Church of the Vine in Christoval.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bonnie, his mother, Doris Nell Arthur, father, John James Arthur III, step-mother, LaVearle Arthur, and brother JT Arthur. He is survived by his children, Todd Arthur and his wife Laura, and Toni Kirkham and her husband Douglas. He was the proud grandfather of nine grandchildren: Chad Arthur and his wife Emily, Colby Arthur and his wife Shelbi, and Jonathan Arthur; Courtney Timms and her husband Jeremy (Bear), Caty Manning, and Cody Manning; Brandi Smith and her husband Richard, Britani Kirkham, and Becca Clark and her husband Matthew. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Landa Arthur and her children, Pam Arthur, Diana Oakes and her husband Armando and their children, and Will Arthur and his wife Karen and their children, and he leaves behind his loyal companion, Missy Rue, and his much-loved Christoval community.

The family is grateful to Della and Wayne Smith, Ruben and Jackie Jasso, and Gary Pridemore for their dedication and love, the caring support given by the staff at Concho Hearts Hospice, and to the many friends who stopped by to check on Jerry during the last months of his life.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00pm on Thursday, October 27th at Harper Funeral Home, and the funeral will be held at 10:00am on Friday, October 28th at Christoval Baptist Church, followed by burial at Knickerbocker Cemetery.
