Jerry Fred Hall

Jerry Fred Hall age 80 of San Angelo passed peacefully on June 8, 2026, with his precious granddaughter Logan and wife Vickie by his side holding his and wishing him an afterlife free of pain and dementia, and full of remembrance and a spirit of love. Jerry was a Navy Veteran who served from 1964 to 1968 aboard the USS Cambria (APA 36) stationed out of Norfolk, VA and served mostly in Morocco. He received the National Defense Service Medal; classification was a Petty Officer running the ship store. Jerry came home from the service in December of 1967; He fell in love with the cute blonde his friend Byn introduced him to.. Vickie Tankersley. They eloped in March to Acuna Mexico and lived 58 years loving, fighting and loving some more. His career after the Navy was with WTU for 11 years with GTE for 21 years and having fun deer guiding and ranching for 13 years after retirement. Jerry worked hard and played hard, drag racing, bass fishing, bbqing, hunting and a little travel in the motor home.

Jerry is survived by the love of his life Vickie Hall, his second love James Paul Hall. The light of his life granddaughter Logan Leigh Hall, the surprise of his life grandson Jacob Bosley and great granddaughters, Bailey and Jaycee. He is survived by his 90 year old sassy sister who was another mother to him Gwen Ware, her children. Gid (Lisa) Dana (Dale) and their children Caitlin, Callen, Dylan & Danielle. He is also survived by his nephew Dan Hall, Niece Kathy Freeman and their spouses and children. His fur baby Champ. He was preceded by his parents Jim and Donnie Hall his brother Bill Hall his in laws Lou Hall and James Ware his fur friends Goober, Ruby, Buckeroo, Dan 1 and Dan 2.

A graveside service will be held at Blackwell Cemetery on Saturday June 13 at 11a.m. Officiated by Dan Hall. A reception/memorial service to follow will be at the Blue Agave in Blackwell, a time for all to speak and tell stories about a life well lived. The family asked to bring plenty of stories to tell to celebrate Jerry's long beautiful life
