Jerry Lee Wallace, known to many as J.W., was called home to be with the Lord on May 25, 2026. He was born on November 26, 1956, and lived in San Angelo, Texas, where he also attended Lake View High School.
J.W. was a man who loved life. He loved being around people, especially his family. He had a big heart, a gift for storytelling and a way of making people laugh. Anyone who truly got to know J.W. knew how special he was. He was a good friend to many, deeply loved by his family and he held on as long as he could because he loved life and the people in it.
J.W. was a man of God who enjoyed going to church on Sundays. His faith, his love for family and his ability to bring laughter into a room will always be remembered.
He loved his children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters. He enjoyed driving around, taking in the scenery, fishing with his brother, playing washers and horseshoes, and watching the races. He loved simple moments, good company and making memories with the people closest to him.
To his family, J.W. was more than family. He was a best friend, a source of laughter and someone whose presence will be deeply missed.
J.W. was preceded in death by his parents, Betty Wallace and Arlton Wallace; his sister, Kay Burney; his son, Michael Burleson and daughter, Amber Burleson.
He is survived by his wife Misti Burleson, Jeremy Wallace and his wife Destiny Wallace and their 2 sons JaMarques and Bryce; his daughter, Julia Wallace her son Logan and 2 daughters Emma and Mckenzie and their father Clifford Gibson; his brother, Ronnie Wallace; his sisters, Darlene Hodges and Gwen Thames; along with extended family and many friends who loved him dearly.
J.W.’s memory will live on through the stories, laughter and love he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
