Jerry Ray Yarbrough of San Angelo, Texas passed away on April 19, 2026. At the age of 76. He was born June 15th, 1949, in Lorraine, Texas.

To parents Arthur and Marguerite Yarbrough.

He married Jeanie Whitlock on July 24, 1971, in Carlsbad New Mexico.

He served in the Untied States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a proud American and a Hero to many.

He spent 35 years with the National Park Service. Carlsbad Caverns, New Mexico, Lake Mead Nevada, Timpanogos Cave Utah, Lake Amistad Del Rio Texas, Canyon De Chelly National Monument, Arizona, White Sands National Monument Alamogordo, New Mexico and retired as the Superintendent of Fort Davis National Historic Site.

He survived by his wife of 55 years Jeanie Yarbrough and Cooper.

Grandchildren, DW/Olivia Senney, Amanda/Adrian Martinez, Makenzie Yarbrough, and Ross Yarbrough

Great Grand Children Yadi Martinez, Emarie Martinez, and Dakota Senney.

Proceeded in death by his parents Arthur and Marguerite Yarbrough, Sister Patsy “Cricket” Yarbrough

His two favorite past times were playing golf and woodworking.

There will be a celebration of life at Southland Baptist Church, 4300 Meadow Creek Trail, San Angelo Texas on Saturday the 25th of April 2026 at 1100AM.
