Joanne Carruthers Bell

Joanne Carruthers Bell, 80, died Saturday, September 8, 2018. Joanne was born to John and Selma Carruthers on December 29, 1937, in Del Rio, TX. She married Nathan Bert Bell, and resided to Sanderson, TX. She is survived by daughters, Marla Kay Williams and husband Keith Williams, Roberta Long and husband Clifford Long, four grandchildren, Savanah Jost and husband Brandon Jost, and Nathanial Cain Long and wife Starr Long, Hannah Renae Williams, Sophie Elizabeth Williams, and great grandchildren, Hudson Wayne Long, and Stetson Michael Jost, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Joanne volunteered for the SACMC Auxiliary and enjoyed playing cards with the “Naughty Nannas”. Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body; but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a ride!” A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 13, 2018, at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Sanderson, TX.
