Joe Wayne Corder

November 30, 1959 — August 27, 2021

Joe Wayne Corder, 61, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Friday August 27, 2021, in San Angelo, Tx. Joe was born November 30, 1959, in Abilene, Texas to Donald and Virginia Boyd Corder. He grew up in San Angelo and Menard, Texas and after high school started an early career in retail sales with M Systems. He worked for several companies but found his home at Field and Stream in San Angelo, where he worked for over 30 years until his death. Joe was a loving son, father and grandfather who devoted his life to his family and friends. He was a friend to many and a stranger to none. Joe loved meeting new people and sharing experiences. In his spare time, he collected guns and spent time with his daughter and his grandson. Joe was an amazing selfless man who would do anything for anyone. He had an infectious personality that you couldn’t help but love. His booming laugh could be heard for miles. His greatest blessings in life were his daughter, Sarahina, and grandson, Braxton. He enjoyed going on road trips with them to show them where he grew up and his family heritage. He loved to spend time with Braxton fixing up old cars and their latest project was the Bronco he bought a few months ago. They spent countless hours going to the movies, bowling, and doing anything outdoors. Joe was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Sarahina Corder, of San Angelo; his grandson, Braxton Perkins, of San Angelo; his sister, Pam Rabb, of San Angelo; his Brother Carey Corder, of Enterprise, Al; and 1 niece and 3 nephews. He was also survived by his “Wednesday Night Group” who he loved dearly and who was like family. Joe will be available for viewing on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, from 2:00PM-7:00PM at Harper Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Harper Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pall bearers for the service will be Braxton Perkins, Todd Hallmark, Sam Conley, Glenn Stracener, Danny Elizondo and Carter Wagnor. Honorary pall bearer Clif Wagnor. In Lieu of flowers, the family request that you make a donation to the goFund me account set up in their honor or to the West Texas Boys Ranch in honor of Joe.
