I passed peacefully into heaven in the comfort of my home, Monday, May 2, 2022.
I was born to John Kip Webber and Joan Young Webber, December 6, 1947, in Gardner Kansas. I was the eldest of two brothers, Joel Webber, and Clarke Kennedy who preceded me in death. I had fond memories as a child of fishing and spending time with my maternal grandparents at their ranch in Garnett, Kansas.
I graduated from Madison High School in San Diego 1965. I enlisted in the U.S. Army Feb 14, 1966, where I served 22 years including two tours in the Vietnam War as a helicopter crew chief, then in 1970 attended the Defense Language Institute in Monterey California and became a Russian linguist. When I retired from the military I continued to work as a civilian Russian language instructor and technical writer. Retiring on March 30, 2012.
I married the love of my life, Shelley, June 20, 1970, in Monterey CA. We were married for almost 52 years. We lived in many interesting places during military service including California, Texas, Japan, and Germany.
I love my sons. I enjoyed having their friends in our home. They each became like additional sons to me. I hope my sons and my additional sons felt the love of the Lord through my loving care. Serving the Lord was very important to me. I volunteered for the House of Faith for over 20yrs and was involved in many other ministries serving the Lord. I would like to be known for my love of God, love of my country, and love of my family.
I leave behind my wife Shelley, son Shayne and wife Jere’ Webber; grandchildren Madisen, Britton, Michael and Belyn; son Joel Webber and granddaughters Kara and Kaylee Webber.
I send all my love to my friends and family. Looking forward to reuniting with you one day.
-In love of Christ,
Jack
