John Stephen Skwiera

John Stephen Skwiera, of San Angelo, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 6, 2022, at the age of 67, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 30th, 1954, in Little Falls, Minnesota, son of the late Steve and Irene (Wacholtz) Skwiera. He grew up with two sisters, Mary and Lorraine. He married Ann Marie Schmit on June 10, 1986. They have four children. He studied at Crosier Seminary in Onamia, MN and was a NDSU graduate and a Kappa Psi member. He worked as a hospital pharmacist for 44 years in Dickinson and Rugby, ND and San Angelo, TX. He had many interests including reading, golfing, hunting, and motorcycles. He especially loved Ann’s cooking. John and Ann were foster parents. He enjoyed becoming Santa for Christmas, visiting family, and going to the hospital to spread joy. He was a 4th degree Knight and strong in his faith. He is survived by his wife, Ann Skwiera. His children, Stephanie, Taylor, Ian and Kamryn Skwiera and one grandchild, his sister Lorraine (Chuck) Gress and brother-in-law Jim Irsfeld and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a sister and his parents. Service will be held on July 12th, 2022, at 11AM at St. Joseph Church, San Angelo, TX.
