Juan “Chuco” Dillard was born in Pleasanton, Texas, to Jacovo Dillard and Pablina Bosquez Rodriguez. He was the oldest of four kids and grew up working hard starting out in the cotton fields around San Angelo. As he got older, he found his passion on the road as a truck driver, hauling everything from animal feed to farming equipment across the state.
Chuco loved life. He enjoyed all kinds of action and western movies, grilling out on the weekends, and he could make friends anywhere he went. He was always smiling, laughing, and ready to help someone in need.
In 1972, he married his first wife, Leticia Gonzalez, and they were together for 24 years until her passing in 1995. On December 20, 1997, he married Ann M. Ravenelle, and they shared many happy years together in Ballinger.
He is survived by his loving wife Ann of Ballinger, and his children: Suzanna Dillard, Monica Dillard (Mansfield, TX), Theresa Dillard (Fort Worth, TX), Marianna Sanchez and husband Aby (Ballinger, TX), Jacovo Dillard (Ballinger, TX) Chuco also leaves behind grandchildren Andrea, Leticia, Imani, Areya, Avionna, and Santiago, plus three great-grandchildren who brought him so much joy. He’s also survived by his father, Jacovo Dillard (Brownfield, TX), and his siblings: Diana Tristan and husband Javier (Lamesa, TX), Joe Dillard and wife Lora (Brownfield, TX), Adela Porras and husband Manuel (Seagraves, TX), and his nieces and nephew: Amanda Dillard, Teri Dillard, Julissa Porras, Paulina Porras, Patricia Tristan, and Pablo Tristan.
