Judith Katherine Bond

Judith Katherine Bond, 87, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026, in San Angelo.

Judith was born on February 17, 1939, in San Angelo, Texas, to George L. Taylor and Mozelle Sayner Taylor. Judith and her family spent her first six years in Robert Lee, Texas, before returning to San Angelo, where Judith grew up. She graduated from Central High School and went on to attend Texas Tech University before continuing her education at Sul Ross State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in education. During her college years, Judith was also a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority.

In 1959, Judith met the love of her life, Bobby R. Bond, and the two were married on June 3, 1961. Together, they built a beautiful life and lived in Texas, Washington D.C., Nevada, Arizona, and Colorado during Bobby’s career. In 1999, Judith and Bobby returned to the San Angelo area and settled on the family ranch in Tennyson, Texas, where Judith found great joy in the ranching way of life and the community that surrounded it.

Judith was deeply involved in the ranching community and proudly served as chairman of one of the Coke and Sterling County Farm Service Agency Committees. She cared deeply about the people and families of the area and was always willing to give her time, encouragement, and support. Judith has a great fondness for all kinds of animals and especially enjoyed caring for her cattle, dogs and cats.

Judith’s faith was an important and steadfast part of her life. She was a longtime and active member of First Baptist Church of San Angelo. Her love for God guided her throughout her life and was reflected in the kindness, compassion, and care she showed to others.

Above all, Judith was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She cherished her family and devoted her life to those she loved. She was always there for her children, offering love, encouragement, guidance, and support. Her family was her greatest joy, and the memories she created with them will be treasured for generations to come. Judith will be remembered for her strong faith, loving heart, devotion to her family, and the quiet strength and grace with which she lived her life. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through her children, grandchildren, and all those whose lives she touched.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Bobby R. Bond; her children, Stacey Perera and her husband, Javier, of Houston; Benton Bond and his wife, Stacey, of Omaha, Nebraska; and Brooke Sabo and her husband, Michael, of Houston; grandchildren, Braxton Bond, Brynn Bond, James Sabo, and Hannah Sabo; and numerous other family members and dear friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George L. Taylor and Mozelle Sayner Taylor, and her brother, George Lee Taylor.

A private burial will be held, with a celebration of Judith’s life to follow in November. Details will be announced at a later time.

The family wishes to extend their sincerest thanks and appreciation to the staff of West Texas Rehab Hospice of San Angelo for the loving care and support they provided to Judith and her family. Judith’s life was one of faith, family, service, and love. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
