Kay Marie Oles, 59, of Coleman, Texas passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019 in Coleman. Kay was born on September 30, 1959 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to Vernon and Laurane Kelley Pant. She was raised in Kalkaska Michigan and attended Kalkaska High School. Upon graduation, she attended business college to earn a business degree. In the 1980’s she moved to Wickett, Texas and continued to grow her family becoming a mother to 3 step children. She was a wonderful mother, teaching all of her children the importance of a relationship with Jesus, how to cook, and be the best people that they can be. Later, she married David Oles and they moved to Coleman to continue their lives together until his passing in 2012. After David’s death, she traveled to see her children and made her famous tamales for people to enjoy. In Kay’s 59 years of life, she met many new friends and made lasting impressions on the people that she came across by leaving her little prayer cards for people just so they knew she cared and was praying for them. Kay was a true Christian warrior, she always carried anointing oil and a prayer cloth in her purse because you always have to be prepared when given an opportunity to share the love of Jesus. She enjoyed cooking, making jams and jellies, crafts, fellowshipping with other believers and shopping for Christmas gifts and decorations. Kay was always a giver; she gave her time, knowledge, and love to everyone and even in death, she was able to be an organ donor and gave people the gift of sight. She is preceded in death by her husband, David and sister, D’Ann Rodriguez. Kay is survived by her loving children, Samantha and Joe Gipson of Muskegon, Michigan, Angela and Ricky Boyer of Waxahachie, Texas, Oscar and Nicole Garcia of Aubrey, Texas, and Tony and Ashley Garcia of Midland, Texas; her seven grandchildren, Ariel and Alyssa Medina, Nikkol Garcia, Nadia and Sophia Garcia, Alexis Hubbard and Morgan Zea; and three great-grandchildren, Connor Henderson, Alex Hubbard, Jr, and Addison Hubbard, her nephew, JT Rodriguez, and niece Quaila Pant. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Donate Life Texas, 2510 Westridge Street, Houston, Texas 77054 and please continue Kay’s legacy of giving by becoming an organ donor yourself
