Lee Clark passed into the arms of our Lord after a short illness on Friday, June 27th, 2025. A native of Menard, Texas, and a generational rancher, Lee was principled and steadfast, always ready to lend a hand or an ear or some tough love to those who needed it. His diligence, lifelong work ethic, and love of storytelling will be dearly missed by those who loved him most.
Lee graduated from Menard High School in 1984, and from Angelo State University in 1990 with a degree in Animal Science. His dedication to his livestock and the range will be remembered for years to come.
On September 8th, 1990, he married his best friend and the love of his life, Lisa Price Clark. He loved his two daughters more than life itself, and was proud of all of their achievements. You can tell he loved his family and his cows, but only liked the sheep when they made him money.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, July 3rd at Harper Funeral Home (2606 Southland Blvd, San Angelo, Texas 76904). Services will be given by the Reverend Susan Burnham, Rector of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Sonora. As Lee was a past Worshipful Master, the Fort McKavett Masonic Lodge #750 will also hold a small ceremony during the service.
Lee is survived by his wife, Lisa Price Clark; his two daughters, Candice Clark and Madelon Clark; his mother, Jo Williamson Clark; his sister, Dandy Clark Kothmann; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles “Buddy” Clark and his grandmother, Pat Williamson.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Menard and Fort McKavett Volunteer Fire Departments and the Menard County Historical Society.
