Lena Lois Lowery Dunlap

SAN ANGELO - Lena Lois passed away August 31, 2021 at the age of 91. She is survived by her 3 children and 1 step daughter: Lee Lowery (Laura), Don Lowery (Kathy), Deborah Carter (Tom), Belinda Wright. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Kerry Lowery (Sonceia), Kenny Lowery (Leasa), Billy Lowery, Allyson Carter, Matt Carter (Amy), along with 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 brothers and 2 sisters: Russel Michel (Susie), Charlie Michel, JoAnn Chambers and Genevive Duffy. Preceding Lena Lois in death were her husbands: Jack Lowery (the father of her children) and Daughty Dunlap, her parents R.L. and Mae Michel and a grandson, Dustin Lowery. Although her family will greatly miss her and her large family gatherings with food for an army, she left us a legacy of love and Christian values. If you would like to honor our mother with a gift to your church or favorite charity, please do so. We also think her departing message would be to share time and God with your family, and to take them to church and introduce them to a relationship with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Her favorite scripture was John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten son for who so ever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
