Lesley "Don" Jackson

Lesley "Don" Jackson, 75, passed away on December 5, 2023, in Austin, Texas. He was born in San Angelo, Texas on April 1, 1948, to Lesley Abner and Mary Evelyn Jackson. Don grew up in San Angelo and Graduated from Lake View High School in 1966 he went on to get his Doctorate in Divinity. In that time Don served his country in both the Naval reserve and Air Force. On March 18, 1967, Don married the love of his life Theola Deering in San Angelo. Don loved the Lord and went on to serve as lead pastor in churches in Albuquerque, NM, San Angelo, TX, Duncanville, TX, Tampa, FL, Belleview, FL, Cedar Rapids, IA. He served as a pastor in forty years before he retired.

Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents.

Don is survived by his wife Theola Jackson of 56 years; children Scott Jackson, Michele Jackson, Brandy Berry and husband David; Grandchildren Kailen Jayden, Tristan Jackson, Breana Lacks and husband Jason, Jordan Berry and wife Cassie, Kalie Berry, Brittani Fagel and husband Brayln, Willow Berry, Harper Berry, Jenny Berry-Sells, Raelyn Berry, Levi Berry; Sister, Beverly Dendle and husband Bill; and two dogs Milo and Nala, and a host of friends who will cherish his memory.

A Celebration of Don’s life will be held on Saturday December 9, 2023, at 10:30 AM at Parkside Community Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations can be made to Parkside Community Church or a charity of your choice.
