Linda Sue Faulkenberry

Linda Sue Faulkenberry passed away peacefully in the presence of family on August 4, 2025. She was 78 years old. Sue was born on April 16, 1947, in Ballinger, Texas to Joe and Ina Campbell Hebel. She was the youngest of 4 children. When she was 12 years old her father died. Her mother later married Loyd Webster. He bought Sue her first car, a Chevy. She grew up in Littlefield, Texas and graduated from Littlefield high school in 1965. She attended North Texas State and Texas Tech University.

Sue married Joe Faulkenberry in 1979, and they lived in Texas, then Nebraska, finally settling in San Angelo, Texas.

Sue was gifted with a beautiful voice and started singing in church at a very young age. She especially liked to sing at weddings. Among her interests were refinishing furniture and gardening.

Preceding Sue in death are her parents Joe and Ina Hebel and her 3 siblings: Joe Wayne Hebel, Robert Allen Hebel, and Patricia Ann Hebel Amburn.

Sue is survived by her husband, Joe Thomas Faulkenberry and stepdaughters, Kimberly Faulkenberry Hale and Joanna Faulkenberry Anderson and grandchildren William (Wilah) Crawford Anderson, Alex Michael Anderson, Jessie Susannah Reeser, Thomas Glenn Robert Anderson, and Maureen Olivia Reeser.

A memorial service will be held in Sue’s honor Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Harper Funeral Home in San Angelo, Texas.
