Lucille Chewning, 84, of San Angelo passed away August 9, 2025, in San Angelo. Lucille was born on November 22, 1940, in Falmouth, KY to Elwood and Rosella Estep Beach. She grew up in Williamstown, KY and was adopted and raised by Melinda and Carter Ballinger. After High School, she traveled the world as a military wife for 22 years. Lucille also worked in retails sales for many years. She relocated to San Angelo in 1980, and test drove cars for various companies. In 1986, she started L&H Transport Services and served the funeral homes and surrounding counties for over 31 years until her retirement. Lucille was a loving mother and grandmother and friend. She was a self-made achiever that loved serving her community in the transport industry. She was very sociable and loved to laugh and visit with others. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, adoptive parents, her husband Lewis Campbell, her sister Eva Rose Blanchard and her brother Tom Smith. She is survived by her daughter Lynn Parsch and her husband Eric, of San Angelo; her grandchildren, Josh Parsch and his wife Sam, and Samantha Sipes and her husband Chase, all of San Angelo; and 4 great grandchildren, Wyatt Sipes, James Parsch, Averie Kime and Aiden Parsch; and extended family Sylvia Moya, Anyssa Moya & Alex Moya. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, colleagues and friends. Viewing will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 12:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M, at Harper Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held Sunday August 17,2025 at 2:00 P.M, at Harper Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a private burial.
