Lynn (Lee) Eldon Bowman

Lynn (Lee) Eldon Bowman went to sleep in Jesus on September 18, 2026, at the age of 86. He was born on November 3, 1939, in Hillsdale, Michigan, to John and Wilma Jene Bowman.

Lynn grew up in Michigan and Virginia. At the age of 17, he joined the United States Air Force, where he became a jet mechanic. After leaving the military, Lynn opened his own aircraft mechanic shop, beginning a lifelong career working with aircraft and machinery.

In 1978, Lynn moved to San Angelo, Texas. There, he met his wife, Paula, and they were married in 1986. Lynn worked for Precision Aircraft Services and later worked for Hirschfeld Steel and Muller Metals before retiring.

Lynn enjoyed riding his motorcycles and flying his radio-controlled airplanes. He was a member of the Advent Hope Bilingual Seventh-day Adventist Church. Above all, Lynn loved the Lord with all his heart, and his faith was an important part of his life.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, John Bowman and Wilma Jene Werner; his sister, Patricia Swift; his stepdaughter, Poppy Nobbs; and his mother-in-law, Frances Hill.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Bowman of San Angelo, Texas; daughter, Leora Bowman of South Carolina; son, Michael Bowman of Michigan; niece, Sandra Swift of San Angelo, Texas; nephew, Derek Swift of San Angelo, Texas; father-in-law, Edwin Hill of San Angelo, Texas; and son-in-law, Kenneth Nobbs of San Angelo, Texas.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff of Gentiva Hospice for the loving care and compassion they gave Lynn during his final days.

Lynn will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him. His memory will remain in their hearts, and his faith and love for the Lord will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday September 22, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. At Advent Hope Bilingual Seventh Day Adventist Church. 110 East 18th st. San Angelo, Texas 76903. He will be available for viewing on Monday September 21, 2026, at the Harper Funeral Home chapel from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
