Maria Navarro Talamantes, age 84, passed away peacefully at Texas Health Harris Methodist in Ft. Worth, TX on May 22, 2020. She was born on May 30, 1935 to Felix Sr. and Ernesta Navarro in San Angelo, TX. Maria always had a servant’s heart that was full of love, compassion, and forgiveness. She was a strong prayer warrior that never turned anyone away or passed up a chance to pray for you. Maria devoted the first part of her life to her community by being involved in politics including being a LULAC member, an Election Judge, and other organizations. The second part of her life was dedicated to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She started an Outreach program and Children’s Ministry in her own backyard, which grew into a fulltime ministry. She also opened up her own church El Buen Pastor Fellowship. Maria is survived by her five children and their spouses: Belinda & Jesse Hopper, Jr., Roy & Mary Urias, Ernie & Anna Urias, Eddie & Olga Urias, and Frank Dominguez, Jr.; 27 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her four siblings: Frances Casarez, Pauline Reyes, Joe Navarro, and Paul Navarro. She is preceded in death by her parents, her 4 brothers and 1 sister and husband Leonardo Talamantes, Sr. A Celebration of her life will be held 6:00pm, Sunday, May 31st at the Harper Funeral Home Chapel. The Graveside service is to be held 11:00am, Monday, June 1st at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers for the service include Casianna Limon-Soto, David Espinoza, Jacob Urias, Matthew Dominguez, Josh Urias, and Eduardo L. Urias. Honorary Pallbearers are Alec Pena, Priscilla Limon-Soto, Jesse Hopper, Jr., and Frankie Dominguez III.
