Mark A. Hamilton Jr., 50, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, on Thursday, February 26, 2026.
Mark was born on March 4, 1975, to Mark A. Hamilton Sr. and Charlotte A. Hamilton in San Angelo, Texas. He was an Eagle Scout and a proud graduate of Lake View High School. He went on to attend Angelo State University, where he met the love of his life, Wendy L. Hamilton. The two were united in marriage on March 30, 1996, at Dove Creek Baptist Church outside of San Angelo.
Mark was a dedicated entrepreneur who successfully owned and operated multiple businesses throughout his life. He was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, determination, and sarcastic sense of humor. Mark was an exceptional cook, strategist, and poker player. Above all, Mark was a loving family man and a loyal, steadfast friend. He cherished time spent with those he loved and was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering support left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Mark is survived by his parents, Mark and Charlotte Hamilton; his beloved wife, Wendy L. Hamilton; his daughter, Megan L. Hamilton; his son, Hunter J. Hamilton; his daughter-in-law, Sydney N. Hamilton; his cherished grandson, Grayson A. Hamilton; uncles and aunts, D.W. and Sherri Elkins, Rocky Elkins and Carolyn Hamilton, Darlene and Shawn Watten, Charlene Holland, Todd and Michelle Elkins, David and Helen Hamilton, George and Judy Morosani, and Eva Clontz; and many cousins, and close friends.
He was preceded in death by family and friends who welcome him home to the Lord's embrace.
Visitation for Mark will be held from 5-7 PM on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Harper Funeral Home in San Angelo, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Paulann Church in San Angelo, Texas. Interment will follow at Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Kenneth Taylor, Shawn Decuir, Shay Elkins, Randy Ransom, Phillip Richard, and Michael Martinez.
Mark’s legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
