Marshall Bruce Twombly, 89, of San Angelo, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Marshall was born on June 24, 1936, in Shamburg, Pennsylvania, to Marshall T. Twombly and Beulah F. Murphy Twombly. After graduating from high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for more than 22 years.
During his military service, Marshall met the love of his life, Juanita J. Hickethier. The two were married on June 28, 1958, and shared more than 67 wonderful years together, building a life filled with love, devotion, and cherished memories.
Throughout his Air Force career, Marshall and Juanita lived in many places before making San Angelo their home in 1975, following his retirement from Goodfellow Air Force Base with the rank of Master Sergeant. After retiring from the military, Marshall began a successful career as Sales Manager for KLST, where he worked for several years. He later joined Aladdin Flooring, remaining there for more than 20 years.
Marshall was a proud and dedicated member of the Downtown San Angelo Lions Club, faithfully serving as Governor for two years. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, building clocks, and, most of all, spending treasured time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Delvin Twombly; and his sisters, Maxine Crouch and Bonnie Borchert.
Marshall is survived by his loving wife, Juanita J. Twombly; his daughter, Terry Bentley and husband, David; his sons, Timothy Twombly and Thomas Twombly; his grandchildren, Aaron Johnson, Alexandra Johnson, Dominique Tail Feathers, Angela Draper and husband, Ethan; his great-grandchildren, Alorah, Michael, Brooklyn, Xavier, and Jayden; along with numerous extended family members and dear friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Harper Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Harper Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at 1:00 P.M. at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Downtown San Angelo Lions Club.
Family and friends may share online condolences at Harper Funeral Home.
