Mary Ann Ghiselli Womack

Mary Ann Ghiselli Womack, 86, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Sunday March 27, 2022, in San Angelo. Mary Ann was born on November 5,1935 in Galveston, Texas to Frank Valentine and Olivia Ann Glorioso Ghiselli. She grew up in Galveston and attended Sacred Heart Elementary and graduated from Dominican High School (all girl Roman Catholic High School) in 1953. After High School she attended Loyola University - New Orleans, Lamar University in Beaumont, University of St. Thomas in Houston, and the University of Houston. She worshiped at St. Mary Cathedral Basilica in Galveston and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Galveston while growing up. For long periods of her life, Mary Ann attended Mass daily. Mary Ann met James Clifford Womack while he was studying at the University of Texas Medical School in Galveston. Mary Ann and Jim married on November 27, 1957 and moved to San Angelo. Dr. James Clifford Womack practiced medicine for over 50 years in San Angelo. Mary Ann was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in San Angelo for over 20 years and was a member of the Junior League of San Angelo and Dallas. Mary Ann is predeceased in death by her husband, Dr. James C. Womack, her parents, Frank Valentine Ghiselli and Olivia Ann Glorioso Ghiselli, and her brother Frank Valentine Ghiselli, Jr. She is survived by sister Carolyn Ghiselli Stubbs, her children, Clifford Thomas Womack and his wife Tomoko, Deborah Womack Sanderford and her husband Kelly, James Clifford Womack, Jr. and his wife, Keri, as well as five grandchildren, Aemma Womack McMurrey, James William McMurrey, Morgan Alexandra Forteith, Henry Dacre Forteith, Kenzie Rae Franklin, and her husband Connor, and great granddaughter, Palmer Elliot Franklin. A Rosary will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday April 1, 2022, and Funeral Service at 10 a.m. on Friday April 1, 2022. Rosary and Service at Harper Funeral Home, 2606 Southland Blvd., San Angelo, Tx 76904.
