Mary Jeanette Wallin

Mary Jeanette Wallin, 72, Of San Angelo Texas passed away December 9th, 2021. Mary went peacefully during a cat nap in her recliner after her kidneys and heart failed. Mary was born February 4th, 1949, in Brady Texas to Richard and Malinda Crawford. She was the youngest of seven, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Mary graduated from Brady high school after graduation she worked for the phone company briefly and then Leo's drive-in. Mary met Donnie Wallin, the love of her life, at the service station where her brother worked. In December 1967 Mary married Donnie Wallin. Although the marriage did not last a lifetime their friendship did. From that union Mary's favorite and only daughter Christina was born. They lived in Brady for a few years then moved to San Angelo Texas. Mary went to work at the phone company once again and stayed with the phone company until 2015 when she retired with over 40 years of service. Mary loves sports. She played volleyball then softball for a few years before joining bowling leagues. She also enjoyed spending time with friends. She and best friend Dee took their children roller skating every Saturday morning. Mary met Connie through work and began bowling with her and her sister Cathy. She also played canasta and other games with Connie's family every Saturday night. Later in life she met her friend Oveta. Mary attended the theater with Oveta, Oveta's husband and other friends. Mary is survived by her daughter Christina Brown, her brothers Richard Crawford and wife Janice, Bill Crawford and wife blank, her sisters Joyce McBee, Leta Mae Rohr, and Bonnie Batson. She is also survived by friend Oveta, her friend Ervin Bush, and her friend Cathy Smith; She is survived by friends and neighbors Raul and Elia Zamudio, Dan and Patty Key, Tom and Kathy Brady, David and Alice Rivas, and Neal and Erica Barnes. In addition, she leaves behind three amazing dogs: Pink, Dexter, and Ruby. She is preceded in death by her mother father Richard and Malinda Crawford, her brother Bobby Crawford, her nephew James Crawford, her brothers in law Ray Batson, Everett Rohr and Curly McBee, and her sister-in-law Johnnie Crawford. She is preceded in death by her friends Dee Lee and Connie Bush as well.
