Michael James Mcgara

Michael J. “Mikey” McGara, 73, of San Angelo, TX passed away at his residence.

Mikey was born April 9, 1949 in Sonora, TX to Donald and Norma McGara. He lived his early childhood in McCamey and grew up in San Angelo. He attended college for a short time and studied photography. He served his country in the U. S. Army. Mikey owned his own company called Painters Plus, doing carpentry, household painting, and complete home maintenance for many years. He was a loving father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Paul McGara of San Angelo.

Mikey’s survivors include his children, James McGara of San Angelo, Amanda Dewelle and husband Christopher of Augusta, Maine, and Julia Kryseski and husband Michael of Hewitt, TX; grandchildren, Jason and Christopher Kryseski, Kaili, August and Gabriel Shorey, and Georgia, and Parker Dwelle.

Mikey will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
